A Note for 2021 Southern Ticket Buyers

A Note for 2021 Southern Ticket Buyers

Folk On The Rocks 2021 will be like no other in many ways. We feel so grateful for the hard work of our community, and the privilege it is to be able to host a Festival this year, while so many of our southern festival colleagues have had to postpone or cancel. However, this year we will be unable to welcome many Festival goers from Southern Canada.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 public health crisis, we’ve seen jurisdictions across Canada put in place unique measures in order to protect their communities. The Northwest Territories has been no exception. Since March 2020, the NWT border has had strict entry requirements in place in order to keep the territory safe.

Non-residents who wish to enter the Northwest Territories are required to submit an entry request, and a mandatory 14-day isolation plan. See the full regulations here: https://www.gov.nt.ca/covid-19/en/services/travel-self-isolation/arriving-nwt

We strongly urge Southern Canadians who are thinking about attending Folk On The Rocks 2021 to review the Government of the Northwest Territories’ Public Health Protocols to determine if they will be granted entry prior to purchasing a ticket to Folk On The Rocks.

We understand the desire to come North and experience live music in the sun once again, and we cannot wait to share our amazing community and Festival with you all once again - but only if it is safe to do so and all Public Health Protocols have been met.

Much Love,

The FOTR Team
