About the Role

Folk On The Rocks is seeking a dynamic, organized, and creative Content Manager to oversee all digital communications, including social media, website content, and other internally run platforms, in alignment with our Marketing Plan and organizational brand. This is a contract position supporting the lead-up to and delivery of the 2025 festival.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive work plan aligned with key Public Relations and advertising timelines;
  • Manage all organizational social media accounts, including regular posting (weekly minimums and daily posts during festival week), content creation, and engagement with followers (responding to direct messages, comments, etc.);
  • Monitor and report on social media and website analytics;
  • Regularly update and maintain all pages of the Folk On The Rocks website;
  • Design compelling visual and written content for digital platforms, aligning with the brand voice and aesthetic;
  • Create and manage targeted paid advertising campaigns on social media;
  • Hire and coordinate official festival photographers, including shot lists and day-of check-ins;
  • Develop and implement a festival-specific social media strategy;
  • Expand on the existing Marketing Plan with additional strategies for website and social media;
  • Ensure sponsor recognition and promotion requirements are met across all digital platforms in accordance with sponsorship agreements; and 
  • Assist with post-festival acknowledgments and thank-you posts on the website and social channels.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns; 
  • Strong creative writing, communication, and organizational skills; 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Familiarity with web content management systems, social media scheduling tools, and digital advertising platforms; 
  • Experience in public relations, photography coordination, or event-based marketing is considered an asset.
